Wajahat Afzal
Founder and Principal Learning Designer
Wajahat is a learning designer who works just as comfortably with the science of how people learn as with the technology that delivers it.
He trained in both at Teachers College, Columbia University, and has spent almost 8 years since designing, building and running learning at some of the world's most respected institutions: from engineering and economics to design and fashion, on every major learning platform.
What drives him is simple. Learning should be something people enjoy and value, not something they sit through. He is always testing new ideas, from interactive simulations to AI-powered practice and feedback tools, and brings the ones that work into his clients' courses.

Engineering
Designed and built master's-level STEM courses for Columbia's engineering school, and managed the development of 4 graduate MOOCs for Coursera, edX and Canvas.
Parsons School of Design
The New School
Led the design of 16 online master's and professional certificate courses, with 100% participant satisfaction and Quality Matters scores of 90%. Introduced an agile process that cut 2 months from course development, ran Canvas and trained faculty.
London School of Economics
Global Programs, with the University of London
Managed 200 courses for learners around the world on Moodle and Canvas. Raised the platform quality score from 70% to 85% after reviewing 100 courses, delivered 20 course revisions in one 3-month window, and built custom interactive simulations.

UAL Online
Designed online units for new postgraduate courses in fashion business and management and in graphic design, and introduced a shared storyboarding workflow that made storyboarding 30% faster.

Afreen Lashari

Afreen leads strategy and business development at ApexID, working with clients to understand what they're trying to achieve and shaping learning solutions that fit.
She holds a master's in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge and spent her career before ApexID in the public and development sector, working with NGOs and health think tanks. That work gave her a close view of how institutions make decisions, how programs get funded and delivered, and what it takes to turn complex ideas into something people can use.
At ApexID, she brings that perspective to partnerships across higher education and corporate learning, and works to make sure every project is clearly scoped, well supported and delivered with care.
